Kahr® Arms Introduces the CT380

Model: CT3833

October 7, 2014

Pomona, NY – Kahr is proud to introduce the latest addition to their double-action compact pistol product line – the Kahr CT380. The new .380 ACP caliber is the fourth pistol in the Kahr Value Series to be introduced in 2014. Earlier this year, Kahr introduced the CT40, CT45, and the CT9.

The new CT380 features a 3.0 inch barrel, an overall length of 5.52 inches and a height of 4.4 inches. It weighs just 11.44 ounces without a magazine. The pistol has a black polymer frame and features 4140 steel inserts molded into the front and back of the frame for added rigidity. It has a machined, solid 416 matte stainless steel slide and a textured polymer grip.

The Kahr CT380 features a lock breech, modified Browning type recoil lug, and features the "safe cam" action and offset recoil lug barrel design found in all Kahr pistols. The result is a compact pistol with very little felt recoil and quick follow-up shots. The pistol features drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and pinned-in polymer front sight. Lastly, the slide locks back after firing the last round – another feature missing on a number of other value-priced compact semi-auto pistols. The durability and reliability of the CT380 model makes it a strong consideration as a backup gun for law enforcement.

Differences between the Kahr Value Series CT380 and the Kahr Premium Series P380 models include: the CT series has a conventional rifled barrel instead of the match grade polygonal barrel found on Premium models; the CT slide stop lever is MIM (metal-injection-molded) instead of machined; the CT series slide has fewer machining operations, and uses simple engraved markings instead of roll markings; the P380 comes with three magazines and is shipped in a lockable plastic case. The CT Value series comes with one 7 rd. stainless steel magazine and ships in a cardboard box.

The MSRP on the Kahr CT380 is $399

Kahr® to Sponsor Long-Range Shooting Contest

Kahr Long Range Shooting Video Contest

Pomona, NY – If you believe that you have earned bragging rights with your long-range shooting skills, now is the time to share it with YouTube fans. Kahr Firearms Group invites all shooters, 18-years or older, to participate in the Kahr 2014 YouTube Video Long-Range Shooting Contest. Bragging rights may only earn a nice pat on the back, but the grand prize for this YouTube contest is worth far more. Kahr is offering the winner $5,000 in value on any Kahr Firearms Group products which includes; Kahr, Magnum Research and Auto-Ordnance.

“Our goal of this shooting contest is to dispel the myth that accuracy is sacrificed in exchange for a smaller sized pistol, like that found in our concealed carry product line.” stated Justin Moon, CEO of Kahr Firearms Group. “Given the tight tolerances to which all Kahr pistols are manufactured, Kahr pistols are extremely accurate at ranges even out beyond that which pistols are generally fired. I have been shooting Kahr pistols for more than 20 years, and even at more than 100 yards, the accuracy and the groupings are impressive. I feel confident that the videos will more than demonstrate just how effective Kahr firearms are.”

In support of the universe of Kahr fans, Kahr Firearms Group invites shooting enthusiasts to submit a video of them shooting any Kahr pistol at 100 yards or more and then posting it to YouTube. Next, provide a URL link directly to Kahr and the winner will be determined by the video that has garnered the most views. The contest period runs November 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 and the winner will be announced on January 6, 2015.

The Long-Range Shooting Contest video must be no longer than 30-seconds to 3-minutes in length, and must be original footage. The footage must demonstrate shooting at 100-yards, exclusively using a Kahr pistol. Check the Kahr website at www.kahr.com/videocontest.asp for a complete list of contest rules.

Kahr® Arms Partners with Davidson’s, Inc. to Offer Purple Pistols

Model: CW9093PRDAV

Model: CW3833PRDAV

July 3, 2014

Pomona, NY – Kahr Arms is once again brightening up their product line by introducing another new color; purple. Following the success of their Cobalt Blue Kahr CW9, Black and Orange Auto Ordnance 1911, Burnt Bronze Desert Eagle and the popular Kahr PM9 in Robin Eggshell Blue, Kahr Firearms Group has partnered this time with Davidson’s, Inc., one of the largest and most progressive firearms wholesalers in America, to introduce a purple version in either the CW9 or CW380.

Both models feature the same great features as the standard model, but to meet the demands of shooters who are looking for something a little more different and a whole lot sexier, they decided to add the purple polymer frame to two of their most popular pistols.

The first offering in the purple pistol product line is the CW9. The pistol features a 3.565” barrel with conventional rifling, and a 1-10 right-hand twist. The weight, height and width of this firearm make it perfect for concealed carry. It measures 4.5” in height, and 5.9” in overall length. Weight is just 15.8 oz. with an additional weight of 1.9 oz. to accommodate the magazine. The capacity is 7+1. The slide width is 0.90”. The CW9 features drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and pinned in polymer front sight. The purple color is a first time offering for the CW9.

Also offered in purple, is the CW380. Like the CW9, this pistol is also packed with features but in a smaller frame. The CW380 measures just 4.96” in overall length, height is 3.9” and it weighs just 10.2 oz. with an additional magazine weight of 1.3 oz. and the slide width is 0.75”. The CW380 has a capacity of 6+1. Like the CW9, the CW380 also features drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and pinned in polymer front sight.

The lighter, smaller and thinner CW9 and CW380 make it a popular choice for concealed carry but also for those shooters who prefer a comfortable grip with easy concealment and reliable accuracy and stopping power.

The MSRP on the purple CW9093PRDAV is just $449.00 and the MSRP on the CW3833PRDAV is $419, and both pistols are being sold exclusively through Davidson’s. Dealers can purchase from Davidson’s at www.davidsonsinc.com, and consumers can purchase on Gallery of Guns at www.galleryofguns.com. The purple CW9 will be available beginning in July and the purple CW380 will be available sometime in August.

Kahr® Firearms Group Breaks New Ground

June 2, 2014

Pomona, NY – A crowd of over 180 people shared in the celebration on Thursday, May 29th of the official ground-breaking ceremony of the Kahr Firearms Group new headquarters in Blooming Grove Township of Pike County Pennsylvania located in the Pocono region of the state. Justin Moon, CEO, Kahr Firearms Group welcomed Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Jim Cawley to the event which also included a number of key state officials.

Early last year, Kahr made the key decision to move the headquarters out of New York and move to the more gun-friendly state of Pennsylvania. The purchase included 620 acres of prime commercial real estate from the Pike County Industrial Park Development Group. The ground-breaking ceremony christens the first step in the multi-phased relocation. The corporate offices and the research and development departments will be the first to be relocated. When the second phase commences, manufacturing operations will be expanded to the Pike County location to meet the increasing manufacturing demands for Kahr Firearms Group products.

“We are just a few months into the initial construction phase of our new corporate headquarters, and already the support we are receiving from the Pike County Industrial Park Development Group, the local community, and even Governor Corbett has been extremely welcoming,” stated VP of Marketing and Sales, Frank Harris. “It clearly demonstrates how eager the state of Pennsylvania is to bring job opportunities to the citizens of the state, while also supporting our right to manufacture firearms.”

The move to Pennsylvania will make for a far more cohesive relationship between the firearms manufacturer and the State than what they have experienced in New York. As Kahr Firearms Group expands over the next few years, they will reach out to the community with the addition of employment opportunities.

ShootingTheBull410: GLOCK 42 vs. Kahr PM9. Yes, the PM9

The Truth About Guns

This is the third part of a three-part series exploring the ballistic performance of the new GLOCK 42. In this segment, I’m comparing the performance of the G42 against a comparably-sized pocket 9mm pistol, the Kahr PM9. Why? Isn’t it a tad silly to compare a .380 against a 9mm? Yes, yes it is. The 9mm is and always has been a significantly more powerful cartridge. So much so, that I consider the .380's main benefit to be the fact that it provides the opportunity for firearms to be made smaller, lighter, and more-concealable. Given that context . . .

Wild Things in Wild Places: Kahr® Firearms Group Welcomes new Tenant in PA

Pomona, NY – It is the type of story that you just don't hear very often. As land development eats away at wildlife habitat, chasing animals away from areas they consider to be home, one company is sharing their new headquarters property with the existing wildlife.

At the end of March, as Kahr Firearms Group was breaking ground on their new headquarters in Pike County, Pennsylvania, it was discovered that the 620 acre parcel was home to a female black bear and her cub. The bear den was located just 400 yards from where the crew was about to begin with the excavation for the new Kahr Firearms Group offices.

The construction crew notified Kahr, and the company immediately reached out to the Pennsylvania Game Commission for some assistance. When the game wardens arrived, they sedated the sow in order to exam her, check her vital statistics, and then tag her with a tracking collar. Only one cub was in the den and the game wardens determined that based on the size of the cub and the weight of the sow, that the bear likely had some health issues during hibernation. When the examination was complete, the bear cub and the sow were determined to be healthy and the game warden turned to Kahr Firearms Group owner, Justin Moon, and asked if he wanted the bears removed. “It was an easy decision for me. I felt that the bear and her cub had survived a very harsh winter and the den was their home. I strongly believe that man can cohesively share habitat with animals, so I felt the most respectful decision was to share the property with the bear and her cub.”

The sow and her cub were returned to the den and the decision to stay or move on was left to the 4-legged tenant on whether or not she and her cub want to stay. Since then, the crew has no additional sightings of the bears, but, everyone is hoping that they stick around and enjoy their new neighbors.

Don’t you love a story with a happy ending?

Kahr wants other firearms businesses to come to Pike County

April 12, 2014 | By Beth Brelje | The Pocono Record

Ground-breaking in Pike County for the new corporate headquarters of Kahr Firearms Group is likely in May, and a long-range plan for more gun companies is taking shape.

The gun manufacturer bought the long-empty 600-acre Pike County Business Park on Well Road in Blooming Grove for $2 million last year and will move its entire New York operation out of that state to escape what it describes as an unfriendly gun climate there.

“We would like to have a firearms-friendly business park. If other companies want to leave states with more restrictive gun laws, such as Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, this is a great place,” company spokesman Frank Harris said. “We have lots available, and we would put up buildings. Pike County is a great place with a gun-friendly environment, right off Interstate 84.”

Kahr® Partners with Lew Horton Distributing to Introduce Special Edition CW9 Series

March 21, 2014

Pomona, NY – Kahr Firearms Group has partnered with renowned firearms distributor, Lew Horton, to offer three special edition custom designs for the popular Kahr CW9.

The first custom option for the CW9 is the Kahr CW9093CSBL in a PVD electric cobalt blue. The black polymer frame complements the PVD cobalt blue slide, trigger, slide stop lever and slide back plate. The durable finish makes it perfect for everyday carry, or for collectors. MSRP is $558.00.

Option two is the Kahr CW9093CSPU, patriotic “All American” model which features engraving on the left side of the slide that says “All American”. The right side of the slide provides an engraved field of American flag stars. The top rear of the slide features an engraved pin-up girl posing in front of an American flag, reminiscent of the WWII era. MSRP is $613.00.

The last in the special edition CW9 series is the Molon Labe, model number CW9093CSML. This model is featured with a blackened stainless steel slide and enriched with 24kt gold engravings. The slide features 3 engraved features, including a polished Spartan Lambda Shield on the top rear of the slide, and a Spartan helmet on the right side of the slide. Engraved on the left side of the slide is the Latin text, “MOΛΩN ΛABE” which translates to “Come and take them”. This Latin phrase stems from King Leonidas’ response to the Persian Army’s demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons. MSRP is $603.00.

Due to the collector value of the 3 special edition pistol designs in the CW9 series, the production run is limited to only 200 of each model. Availability on the 3 special edition models will begin in early 2014.

The CW9 is one of Kahr’s most popular models due to its shooting comfort, and smaller, thinner, lighter frame making it perfect for concealed carry. It has an overall length of 5.9”, height of 4.5” and weighs just 15.8 ounces. The barrel length is 3.565”. The sights are drift adjustable, bar-dot combat rear sight, and pinned in polymer front sight. Load capacity is 7+1. The CW9 ships with one magazine.

Kahr® Partners with Spyderco® to Introduce the Kahr Delica4

January 6, 2014

Kahr Spyderco Delica4

Pomona, NY – Kahr Firearms Group is proud to introduce the Kahr Spyderco Delica4, a distinctive variation of one of Spyderco's most popular folding knives available exclusively through Kahr.

Created by self-defense authority Michael Janich, the Kahr signature Delica4 offers Kahr its own unique design by combining a full-length handle with a compact 2.5" blade. The shorter blade makes it legal in jurisdictions with strict blade-length limitations without sacrificing leverage, control, or cutting power.

The Kahr Delica4 features a stonewashed VG-10 stainless steel blade with a smooth thumb ramp. The sturdy back lock mechanism locks the blade in place when open, and includes a Boye Dent relief cut to prevent unintentional lock release. The Trademark Round Hole™ found on all Spyderco blades ensures quick, positive, one-handed opening. Other features include the Bi-Directional Textured™ handle scales injection molded from fiberglass-reinforced nylon and skeletonized stainless steel liners that reduce the overall weight of the knife to just 2.5 ounces.

The perfect companion to Kahr's compact pistols, the Kahr Delica4 is also designed to maximize its concealment properties. It is offered in three discreet handle colors — black, khaki, and denim-blue — to blend discreetly with common pant colors. In addition, the blade, four-position pocket clip, and all other hardware feature a non-reflective stonewashed finish.

The Kahr Spyderco Delica4 is available through Kahr Arms at www.kahr.com and select Kahr dealers and distributors. The MSRP is $99.
